Community Rules and Guidelines

Creating a Safe, Respectful, and Welcoming Home

At AARC, we believe a comfortable home environment is built on mutual respect, clear expectations, and thoughtful guidelines. Our community rules are designed to protect the safety, dignity, and well-being of our residents while ensuring families and visitors feel welcome.

Personalizing Living Spaces

Every resident deserves to feel at home. We encourage families and residents to personalize their rooms with photos, keepsakes, and meaningful items that bring comfort and joy. As long as decorations do not interfere with care or safety, personalization is welcomed and supported.

Pets and Companionship

While pets are not able to live on-site with residents, we welcome visits from beloved family pets. We ask that all visiting animals are well-behaved, up to date on vaccinations, and supervised at all times during their visit to ensure the comfort of all residents.

Visiting Hours and Family Time

We value family involvement and encourage frequent visits. To balance quality time with rest and care schedules, we observe the following visiting hours:

Monday – Friday: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM and 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Saturday & Sunday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

For outside facility travel, we kindly request a courtesy call 24 hours in advance. Families wishing to visit outside of regular hours may contact us to make special arrangements.

Visitor Guidelines

Who Can Visit: Visitors are welcome with approval from the resident’s designated power of attorney.
Respectful Conduct: To maintain a peaceful environment, visitors are asked to be mindful of noise levels and considerate of all residents.
Health Precautions: Visitors showing signs of illness are asked to reschedule their visit to protect the health of our community.
Supervision: Children are welcome but must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times.

General Community Standards

In addition to visitation and room personalization, AARC maintains a few universal community rules to ensure safety and comfort:
Privacy and Dignity: Residents’ privacy should always be respected, including in shared spaces.
Safety First: Hallways and exits must remain clear of clutter for easy mobility and emergency access.
Healthy Environment: Smoking is not permitted inside the facility.
Respect for All: Residents, staff, and visitors are expected to treat one another with kindness, patience, and respect.

Our community rules and guidelines are not meant to restrict…

But rather to protect what matters most: a safe, caring, and welcoming environment for every resident. By working together, families, visitors, and staff can ensure that AARC remains a home filled with respect, joy, and connection.
