Understanding Our Visitation Policy

Welcoming Families, Friends, and Loved Ones

At AARC, we encourage family and friends to stay connected with residents through regular visits. Spending time together brings joy, comfort, and a sense of home. To make visits positive for everyone, we have clear guidelines designed to balance family time with resident safety, rest, and care schedules.

Who Can Visit

Residents may welcome visitors of their choosing, as long as visits are approved by the resident’s designated Power of Attorney (POA). This ensures that visits align with the wishes of both the resident and their family.

Visitor Etiquette

To maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for all, we ask that visitors follow a few simple guidelines:

  • Health Precautions: Please postpone your visit if you are feeling unwell to protect residents’ health.

  • Supervision of Children: Children are always welcome but must be supervised by an adult.

  • Respect for Privacy: Be mindful of other residents’ space and dignity. Visits should remain focused on your loved one.

  • Noise & Disruption: Keep noise to a reasonable level to support a calm, peaceful environment.

  • Pet Visits: Visiting pets must be well-behaved, leashed or crated as appropriate, and current on vaccinations.

  • Cleanliness & Safety: Please avoid blocking hallways, leaving personal belongings unattended, or bringing in items that may pose safety risks.

Why Visitation Guidelines Matter

Our guidelines are not meant to restrict visits, but to create a safe and supportive environment for residents, families, and staff. By following them, families can ensure every visit is enjoyable, meaningful, and stress-free.
